David R. Kerbl D. Ch - Professional Expertise:
David R. Kerbl has formerly practiced Chiropody for over 30 years. He started his profession in Hamilton, Ontario at Chedoke-McMaster Hospital (1985-1990). Between 1987-1990, David was the Staff Chiropodist at Kitchener’s Freeport Hospital. In 1990, David R. Kerbl moved to Ottawa where he was an Associate for the Associates in Podiatric Medicine and Foot Surgery. Since 1991, David has helped his Ottawa Podiatry patients put their best foot forward. David operates his private practice out of two Ottawa Foot Clinics.
David R. Kerbl is a founding member and former President (1990-91) of the Ontario Society of Chiropodists. He is also a founding member of the Canadian Federation of Podiatric Medicine (CFPM) and a current board member of the CFPM. David is also a past recipient of the CFPM Award of Distinction in 2012. As a Council Member of the College of Chiropodists of Ontario, David has also served as the Chairman of their Discipline Committee.
David R. Kerbl's Personal Interests:
During his studies in Human Kinetics, David worked part time as a bicycle mechanic and ski technician. It was his exposure to ski boot fitting that sparked an interest in foot biomechanics and foot problems.
He has played most sports and has an appreciation for biomechanics of sport and adapting footwear and orthoses for particular sports.
David has also volunteered for the Kanata Little League Baseball Association and Stittsville Minor Hockey Association as a Level 2 Trainer. As a newly retired Baseball dad, David looks forward to his hobbies of woodworking, fixing cars and all around tinkering, as well as some cycling and golf.
